We provide great selection of quality online continuing education (CEU) programs for addiction counselors (LAC, LCDC, MAC, NCAC I, NCAC II, SAP). The online NAADAC approved alcohol and drug continuing education courses are designed to provide the licensed drug and alcohol counselor with professional growth and knowledge refinement in the area of chemical dependency, while learning at his/her own pace. Our courses are intended for those working in drug and alcohol treatment centers, detox centers, and other venues offering services to those with drug addiction and alcohol addiction. We offer the opportunity for the certified chemical dependency counselor to earn the Continuing Education Units (CEU) hours needed to maintain licensure or certification at any time from anywhere you have access to the internet through our web-based addiction CEU programs.
Please check with your addiction or certification board if you are unsure about the policies related to online or home-study CEU Credit. Not all states/boards will accept hours without pre-approval status or may limit the number of hours accredited. Some boards may classify online activity as independent study courses. Question: So, how does taking continuing education online work?
Answer: Simply browse the online CEU course catalog. Find the continuing education course(s) that interest you and click on the number of continuing education contact hours you would like to take (some selections only have more than one option for clock hours). You will be able to access all of the material needed to answer the post-test questions online via links our pages. Either print out or review the material in your browser. You may want to load and print the CEU test while you review the material. When you have completed the course, click on "Load Test" to take the addiction CEU post-text. Your post-test will be scored immediately by our servers and, if you pass, a CEU certificate request and payment form will appear. You must correctly answer 75% or more of the questions to receive continuing education credit. You may take the test as many times as needed to achieve a passing score, demonstrating mastery of the material. Certificates are generally emailed or mailed within 1 business day and are dated with day of successful completion of the material, allowing for same day addiction CEU Credit. When you have successfully completed the post-test, you may then pay online or you may mail in payment via check or credit card.
