Lazarus, Ph.D., ABPP is a Fellow of the Academy of Psychotherapy and holds the rank of Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Rutgers University and is the Executive Director of The Arnold Lazarus Institute in Skillman, New Jersey. He has also served on the faculties of Stanford University, Temple University Medical School, and Yale University. A former president of several professional associations and societies, Arnold Lazarus has received many honors and awards for his contributions to clinical theory and therapy. Among them are the Distinguished Psychologist Award from APA's Division of Psychotherapy, the Distinguished Professional Contributions Award from APA's Division of Clinical Psychology, the Distinguished Service Award from the American Board of Professional Psychology, and three Lifetime Achievement Awards.
