We offer the opportunity for the licensed nurse to earn the Nursing Continuing Education Units (CE) hours needed to maintain your nursing licensure at any time of day or night from the comfort and convenience of home, office,
or hospital through our online RN continuing education programs.
Please check with your state nursing board if you are unsure about board policies related to online or home-study or online CEU or CME credits. Not all boards or states will accept nursing continuing education hours without pre-approval, or may limit the number of CME hours authorized or accredited. Question: So, how does taking online nursing continuing education work?
Answer: Simply browse the CEU course listings. Find the continuing education course(s) that interest you and click on the number of C.E.U. clock hours you would like to take (some selections have multiple options for clock hour CE unit options). You will be able to access the CEU course material needed to answer the CEU post-test questions online. Either print out the material or review it in your browser. When you have completed the reading, click on "Load Test" to take the online CEU post-test. Your nursing continuing education post-test will be scored immediately online and, if you pass, a form to request your CEU certificate and submit payment will appear. You must correctly answer at least 75% of the questions to qualify for the CEU for nurses. You may attempt the test as many times as needed to demonstrate mastery of the material. CEU Certificates are generally emailed within 24 business hours and display the date of successful completion of the CE material, allowing for Same Day CEU Credit in all cases. When you have successfully complete the test, you may then pay online or offline. We also offer a Free nursing CEU course so you can try before you buy and see how easy it is to get free nursing ceus online! We are approved to offer CE Hours by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and our hours count as a Type I activity. Other nursing boards (e.g. Arkansas) may accept our NBCC approved courses for credit or grant nursing CEU credit based on the California Board of Registered Nursing CEU provider status.
