Specifically, it is designed for Licensed Professional Counselors, Social Workers, Psychologists, Chemical Dependency Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Nurses, or any other healthcare provider that is likely to gain professionally from increased knowledge in the subject area. It is appropriate for any provider that is likely to come into contact with those dealing with issues related to the clinical topic in the course of practice.

Teaching Method:
This course is being delivered via a web-based format in which you will be asked to listen to and/or read material relevant to the topic and answer questions about the material you have heard and/or read. You will also have the opportunity to complete a course evaluation at the conclusion of the course to help the instructors know how well we are meeting the learning objectives and how well you like the format of delivery for the material. The audio material on which this course is based is purchased separately from the CEU course and may be accessed immediately online via streaming audio or mp3 download once purchased. You will also receive one or more CDs in the mail with the material for you to keep. Learning Objectives:
The objective of this course is to introduce the learner to the treatment of anxiety, depression and anger from an REBT perspective. Basic REBT theory is discussed and illustrated. Case examples, audience questions, and at least one live demonstration are performed to demonstrate the various concepts and techniques in action.

1. Explain basic concepts of the REBT approach to psychotherapy.

2. Identify some important concepts related to the REBT approach.

3. Identify strategies for intervening with problems using the REBT approach.

4. Describe how REBT can be used effectively with at least two identified problems.

5. Correctly answer 75% of multiple choice questions on a quiz over the material.
