Target Audience:
This course is designed for healthcare providers. Specifically, it is designed for Marriage and Family Therapists,Chemical Dependency Counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors, Social Workers or any other provider likely to gain professionally from increased knowledge of dynamics of the family impact of prescription addiction. It is appropriate for any provider that is likely to come into contact with those dealing with issues related to families battling addiction to prescription medications in the course of clinical practice.

Learning Objectives:
The objective of this course is to familiarize the learner with basic aspects of the impact of prescription drug addiction on the family unit. The content is focused on non-addicted family members and how they might help the addicted family member while maintaining healthy boundaries, protecting themselves and avoiding enabling.
