Target Audience:
This course is designed for healthcare providers. Specifically, it is designed for Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Social Workers (LMSW, LCSW), Psychologists, Chemical Dependency Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Nurses, or any other healthcare provider that is likely to gain professionally from increased knowledge in the subject area. It is appropriate for any provider that is likely to come into contact with those dealing with issues related to the clinical topic in the course of practice.
Learning Objectives:
The objective of this course is to assist the helping professional in developing a more in depth level of knowledge about GHB, including it's use, abuse, and addiction. Information is also presented related to distribution and law enforcement aspects of GHB. This information is likely to be useful in educating clients about GHB and the risks inherent within it's use including legal, health, and psychosocial related risks.
