This course is designed for healthcare providers. Specifically, it is designed for Licensed Professional Counselors, Social Workers, Psychologists, Chemical Dependency Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Nurses, or any other provider that is likely to gain professionally from increased knowledge in the subject area. It is appropriate for any provider that is likely to come into contact with those dealing with issues related to the clinical topic in the course of practice.



Teaching Method:

Skill Development:
At the completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Describe St. John's wort.
2. Identify some substances with potential interactions with St. John's wort.
3. Identify the forms of St. John's wort.
4. State reasons why some people prefer St. John's wort to contemporary anti-depressants.
5. Discuss with clients some potential risks and benefits of utilizing St. John's wort.
6. Correctly answer 75% of multiple choice questions on a quiz over the material.
